How is the fishing on the Hiawassee?

Considering moving up that way and was curious how it fishes from the main channel to 2-3 miles up the Hiawassee? Thank You. I’ve never headed up river from the main chick channel.

I fish up between the bridges mainly. I've been seeing more quality bass the past few years. There is a Monday night and Saturday morning tournament out of 58 boat dock that is a good group. Had success in the creeks and the channel. Weekends see a good bit of Wake boat traffic.
