has anyone besides me noticed how many technical questions our cff member.mr.wrenchin2.anwsers.we are so lucky here on this site to have someone available to us like him.i stopped by a local marine service center the other day just to see if they would grease my steering cables,as they must have metric fittings because i have not found a grease gun that will fit them ,an all they wanted to do was sell me a new set of cables an install them for me.he said, man steering cables needs replaced every year an no more than two...i thanked him for his time, got in my old car an pulled my 1989 model alumacraft with the original steering cables off his lot..i guess since my cables are 89 models i have really been lucky or is stuff made back in the old days better....any way thanks again james....emoThumbsup emoWorthy emoUSA

You guys are too kind. It is like me getting on here and praising you fishermen for all the advice you give. You guys have a vast amout of knowledge about that subject and most of you would be willing to share that info right? LOL! I just love to teach what I know about these things. It is a hobby that I love and I love to talk so they go hand in hand.

Hey yellburt. Do you live just off highway 28. I am originally from Whitwell.

I've got to admit that I am impressed. It's good to hear someone talk about something that they obviously know a good deal about. We are fortunate to have someone with this range of knowledge on the forum.

I grew up 1/8 mile from the pocket road in the split level with a fence on the left going toward palmer.

Yellburt,
your youngest daughter use to come to my house (when lark lived with me) when I lived next to the feed mill store. You know my sister-in-law lark so you also know my father-in-law. Small world isn't it.

Thanks Sean, but what is a outboard?? Is that outdoor lumber???

later guys!
