Hey guys, first i would like to say thankyou for a enjoyable Sat. afternoon. I had put in a cuple of practice days for this tournament and figured out very quickly that the 7to9o'clock feed was great. I also figured out very quickly that from 9o'clock on the feed stoped due to the high preasure, blue bird skys. Our goal, was to catch at least 3 keepers early on top water and then pick away at 2 more throughout the rest of the day. Although our plan worked, it could have ended better. First thing that morning we went back into a creek fishing 5ft or less throwing frogs, buzzbaits, and spinnerbaits. Wegot the three we needed but we also lost two more that were easly keepers. Once the sun got up thats when things got tuff. The grass bite for us was over. {keepers that is} We left the grass around 11 and started flipping wood on the river. I did get onebite off of a log and she was big. Bass? I don't know, but after taking one hard run under the boat she broke my line. After a hour or so of not getting any more keepers we went back to the shallow grass. With time getting short, We picked up the pace by keeping the trolling motor on high and burning spinnerbaits along the edge of the grass. We covered alot of water by doing this but it paid off. At the end of the day we had 5 weighing 9 somthing. My partner and I had a wonderfull time and look forward to fishing again with you guys. P.S. I still think that S.Stevens caught both of the fish!!!
