On one of our latest adventures we managed to nail these three huge cats emoToast They ranged in weight from 8 ounces to almost 14 ounces. The one Propbender is struggling to hold up is his "personal best"!! emoPoke You can probably tell from the grin on TooTall's face that this was his largest cat in some time also. All these huge cats were caught on fresh cut nightcrawlers. emoLaugh We sometime amaze ourselves with our ability to consistently catch these huge catfish with seemingly very little effort!! We are thinking we could probably make some money by offering like a one day catfishing school, in which we teach others the real ins and outs of this sport. I reccommend using very heavy tackle when going after these monsters emoLaugh Till next time....

hahaha ... that was worth a laugh but it's also heartwarming to see the young'ins out there knowing if they are tossed back in .. someday they will be the monster cats that make this fishing mecca so great!

Little catfish make great pets. A simple 20 gallon aquarium is all you need. Very easy to care for, just throw 'em some fish (live, dead, left over bait etc..) and they thrive.

Wow, those are beautiful fish. I'm looking forward to catching some really big ones just like those next time I am out. Keep those whopper pics coming! It looks like they are really running big out there at Sequoyah this winter.

You can sell those giants on Aquabid . com for 20 or 30 bucks each , if you can ship them like me. People actually want that size for aquarium fish . Believe it or not , A blue cat is one of the hardest fish to get to eat in an aquarium. They will almost starve themselves in captivity. Been there , done that. They are also prone to bacterial infections , mainly on the fins. Most people consider blue and channel cats to be the same species . The only problem is the blue cat is a pelagic predator (mid-water) ,sometimes even chasing schools of shad to the surface to be consumed. It's like the freshwater shark per say. The channel cat is your normal pond fish , no current nessesary.

Honestly, I always get slightly jealous when I see "huge cat pics." I have got to hand it to you, you really fooled me. Between DRC and WLG, I've had about all I can stand of seeing big pics. Then when Fishing Machine gets back into the full swing of things, It will be about everyday I have to look at 70 lb blue cats taunting me. DHAUN, Foodsaver, the list goes on. Thanks for throwing those little ones back.

Great Post!

Man...those things were monsters!!! I havn't caught any that size in awhile!!! emoBigsmile emoBigsmile Hopefully i will get into a few big ones tommorow....see you guys out there
