What happened to the guy that used to show pics of the huge stripers he caught on the Chick? I remember a white center console boat and huge striped bass he'd catch. Every now and then, he'd show pics of his depth finder where he'd found them. I haven't seen anything in a long while.

Labman, Norman, he is still on here just doesn't post near as much. He had some problems a while back and quit fishing for a while. So now you need to make a post About Labman instead so he will see it. I think if we apply the right kind of pressure we might can get him posting more often! haha

I'd sure like to know how he caught so many of those things. He sure could tune in to them. They were huge and some of them had to weight 20+ lbs. It seems like he would catch bait with a cast net. I'm not sure though. I do hope he's doing ok.

I saw Norman several times during the late winter months and he was chasing and catching the stripers like he does. I don't know if he gets out in the heart much but he'll be out there Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, march for sure

My Dad, (Nauticman), and Norman, (Labman), had some magical trips a few years ago. For all species; from panfish to rockfish. But there main targets were black bass species. They did well on the smallmouth, largemouth, and spotted bass - regularly I might add. And they did well chasing and catching monster stripers, the alpha of the temperate bass family. The center console you speak of was probably my Dads - it's a nauticstar yellow/white with a Yamaha outboard. They fished out of it a lot back then. Look their adventures up by doing a search for their usernames and you can see some good fish man....

Yes, they had it figured out. I will look some pics up. I don't know why I thought of them.</p>

Heck i used to think about those fish all year!! So I had to figure it out. I can remember running down the river and seeing this guy in a nauticstar. I went up to the guy and asked him if his name was Eric Mauer! lol He said no way and told me he was nauticman. Always loved seeing those guys out there.

Actually I think your talking about Dhaun and his buddy David, (cant recall his screen-name). They are avid livebiat fishermen and concentrated on Watts Bar more than Chic as they intensified their hunt for Stripers. Labman general throws lures when hes chasing on the lake, and he had a G3 aluminum side console boat as well.

Still looking for a "giant". I did take Labman a couple weeks ago and he caught a 25-30ish pound that day. I felt very blessed to be a part of him catching that fish on my boat.

Thank you Eric, I really enjoyed the day fishing with you and Eric M. The striper was a bonus and the leaning a new technique from a good friend was a joy. Oh yeah, I finally got a bait tank for shad again.

Regards, Norman
