humminbird 718 - 525 ?

Hey Folk's I need some help, I recently bought a humminbird 718, I really like it, you can upgrade. GPS capable which I do plan on doing. My question is I have owned humminbird 525s in the past. liked them for what they were. and have recently became the owner of one more. Here it is !wait for it! ! Can you link the two up one on stern and one on Trolling motor. the instructions say that you can network two FF. but what about 718 - 525 ??? I know that it may not be the perfect match but I think it will work how about you. emoTeacher </p>

THe 525 is not networkable. THey do not have the hardware inside to network.

You have to have 700, 800, 900 or 1100 Series units are the only models with Networkign Capabilities.

Thanks Doug reason I asked is that both have the same plug ins P.T. Comm. & Acc.

They have the same plugs but the Comm Port is used for other accessories just doesn't have the ability to InterLink since there is no hardware inside to allow networking on the 500 Series.
