hey guys just wondering if anyy of yall have had any problems with yalls gps on yalls humminbird i plugged another unit into my plugs and it got gps position so i know its not the puck guess im gonna send it back to bird and let them fix it .....it says no gps fix when on my maps any info would be greatly appreciated

Humminbird Customer Service 800/633-1468; these guys are very informative and have helped me fix several problems for customers on their new birds.

When you plugged your other unit into the gps receiver, was the receiver in a different location? No gps fix normally means that your gps receiver has not locked onto the satellites, not that the unit is not seeing the receiver. Please make sure the receiver is not being blocked by anything.

Yea I was in a different location but I was at Harrison bay in the middle of the lake and bam it quit I went home and it worked got back to the lake and it worked for a sec and quit again took it to sportsmans and the new unit worked got home and my maps won't load now my lowrance hds 7 works on the bow with gps and all but the bird must have fell dead

Try restoring defaults. Also are you running the latest software version.

Was the unit itself or the receiver moved on the boat ? Is the receiver in and area where it has a clear view of the sky?
