I manage about 1000 acres and I have been fighting off mullets for years. Let me tell you how one situation panned out.
First I start finding evidence of a tresspasser. Foot prints, trash, etc. try everytime I am there to ambush him. Figured out he knew my schedule, so I throw the change up. Sent a local buddy over to check one evening, he has his Jeep parked off the road. Told my buddy to block his vehicle. Here I go hauling ass 100 miles north. Met the county twra agent there. Just after shooting light, here he comes. Warden made me sit in the truck while he talked to the guy and let him go. Came over, gave me all of the guys info. Then , told me I would have to go to county court house to file tresspassing charges with county prosecutor. Warden acted as a witness on my behalf. Dude got a $120 fine and court cost. Warden said he would be back in there if I didnt press charges. He was scared to death when we busted him and I have seen no sign of him since.
I had another instance where an old lady gave some guys access to her 50 acres and they used it to get on mine. I drove over to her house kindly introduced and explained myself. Took her for a short atv ride and showed her where they were leaving there beer cans and a rock star energy drink can that had been fashioned into a marijuana ingestion device. Now Mrs. King only lets me and my crew hunt her place.
Each situation is different, but I urge you to stay legal and fight them hard. We work hard and spend a lot of money to pursue our hobbies leagly. Poaching, tresspassing mullets are scum if the earth! And yes, dude did have a mullet.
