i got some guys that are coming on your land and they dont need to be there one of the said that they would burn everything down that brought up there just want to see what yall would do about it

yeah i will try that i do have the twra on my siad but the thing is trying to be there when. they have burn one of our shooting house

What Spru said, let the law get involved and they can settle it out. You do not need to get into a conformation with them, that could end in some kind of shooting when guns are involved. I have seen people think they had a right to run people off who did not and been on the other side too not knowing where a border was that was not clearly marked. Then sometimes people can just get stupid, like trying to run you off land that you own. emoDoh We had that happen once, they called the Game Wardens to run us off, when they got there we took out our maps and showed them where we owned it and where we were hunting. They ended up turning around and telling the guys who had called them to stay off our land. emoCrazy Jmax

That really sucks. Getting the law involved is the best bet. And boobie traps seem like a decent idea as well. Unless you want to invest in some surveillance equipment. But crap - who has extra cash these days to do that?

I would post signs all over the areas they are coming in that say the property is under daylight as well as inferred camera surveillance.

hey if you give shawn edgman a call he will take care of your problem was thinking your lease is in seq county

I manage about 1000 acres and I have been fighting off mullets for years. Let me tell you how one situation panned out.

First I start finding evidence of a tresspasser. Foot prints, trash, etc. try everytime I am there to ambush him. Figured out he knew my schedule, so I throw the change up. Sent a local buddy over to check one evening, he has his Jeep parked off the road. Told my buddy to block his vehicle. Here I go hauling ass 100 miles north. Met the county twra agent there. Just after shooting light, here he comes. Warden made me sit in the truck while he talked to the guy and let him go. Came over, gave me all of the guys info. Then , told me I would have to go to county court house to file tresspassing charges with county prosecutor. Warden acted as a witness on my behalf. Dude got a $120 fine and court cost. Warden said he would be back in there if I didnt press charges. He was scared to death when we busted him and I have seen no sign of him since.

I had another instance where an old lady gave some guys access to her 50 acres and they used it to get on mine. I drove over to her house kindly introduced and explained myself. Took her for a short atv ride and showed her where they were leaving there beer cans and a rock star energy drink can that had been fashioned into a marijuana ingestion device. Now Mrs. King only lets me and my crew hunt her place.

Each situation is different, but I urge you to stay legal and fight them hard. We work hard and spend a lot of money to pursue our hobbies leagly. Poaching, tresspassing mullets are scum if the earth! And yes, dude did have a mullet.

One thing to do is when you see them there is just be friendly by hunting about fifty yards in front of them and be certain to talk loud enough as you carry on your friendly conversation. That burning down your property is most likely a bluff... However the county Game Warden and the sheriff's office needs to be well informed and if possible acquire a police report. If anything does get burned.. Someone will be seeing a judge.
I am having crowding issuers this year as well...

Shoot at him, you can always argue you thought he was a deer. If its private you could still press charges after you accidentally shot him. They make some nice trail cams these days that send live vid feed to your cell, if a mullet tryin to shoot a doe keeps you from doin your thing. You could also confront him, and charge him to hunt... If he refuses press charges.

Went to our lease last weekend. Some piece of crap had super glued our lock on our gate. We have had this lease for 12 years. First problem we have ever had. There are some real winners out there. Oh well, hopefully karma will bite them.

Had the same problem a few years ago. Nothing more aggravating than getting to a gate in the dark, after a long day of hunting, and the lock is super glued shut. Simple solution; get a tube of Vaseline and squirt the locks full of it. Won't let the glue have a surface to stick to.

I think they got tired of super gluing and watching us unlock the gates and drive off like nothing had happened.

Solar powered flood lights in the trees around the gate work pretty good. Use a tall ladder or climbing stand to posistion the lights where they shine straight at anyone standing infront of the gate. If you put a security camera in use sign in the area, the meth mullets will run when the light hits em.

Good luck. I hope you run em off

that will work for a few times then they just shoot it and do what they want if they are driving around your gate it is a cheap easy fix all you need is 2-4' 1x4 and some nails around 4"long drive the nails in one of the 1x4s then put the other 1x4 on the bottom so you cover up the nail heads dig a small trench across the path they use to go around the gate burry it 1 or 2" in the ground this will give them flats on all of their tiers and then they get to fix them but make sure that you put the nails about 1.5 or 2" apart that way they get 3 or more holes per tier that means a lot of plugs of you can use steel and weld sharp big stobs on it and they cant plug the tiers good luck
