Hunting with my youngest cousin....

I took my youngest cousin this morning out to a family spot in Marion co. got a twenty min late start and it was just breaking light when we got to our blind. With all of the rain we have had it was like a swamp there and I told him we would move so he would be comfortable. We started back down the tree line of the feild we were going to hunt and what do ya know his eyes lit up and there he blew and he took off and I whistled and he stopped but he had just made it over the top of the hill and my cousin couldnt get a shot. So I told him we needed to get to another spot and we would watch over another feild but much larger. We had been sitting for about 30 mins and I told here come a deer and his face lit up again (I could only imagine this is what my face looked like when I seen my first deer) and I showed him it was around 300-350 yards away, I got the deer in my scope and he got him in his but he said he didnt think he could shoot that far and be clean. I told him if I could call him in it was all his. I used my doe in heat can and he stopped well to my surprise he started back again and the I really noticed him he was around 200 lbs through the lond distance specs, and his nose was to the ground and hauling tail he would stop every 40 yards and duck into the woods I decided to use a grunt didnt work. Gettin frustrated I hollord and he stopped almost pulled the trigger and I said I really couldnt get a good look at his rack so I let him walk and off in the woods again he goes. Well my dad said if you didnt know how can you say it was a buck and I told him about 25 mins later a doe came runnin out of the corner and back in and this huge deer came out on her heels around thirty yards from where i seen him last just figured but anyways the moral is I let a huge 8-10 point buck walk, and I am kickin myself and I am also telling myself good job because you never know. Going back to get him sunday I HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!
