TG1979,

I am not an expert and have yet to limit out this fall on Crappie however we have caught a few.

Since your starting in Wolftever Creek, I would head back in the creek. Soon as you get past the No Wake Zone the creek cuts back across to your left and you will notice a few laid over trees (in the water). I would use Minnows and fish around those trees to begin with. When I bank fish, I always catch Crappie around those trees.

Running on back into the creek, you will notice a couple more nice trees on the left before you get to the Power Lines. These trees are also very productive especially using Minnows. All these trees are in pretty deep water (18+ feet) and should produce some Crappie. You will have to experiment to see what depth they are located at though.

Also fish some docks in the creek. We have been shooting a Bass Assassin under docks and catching a few however I believe the minnows will work good for you.

Good luck!

i was going to put the boat in at 58 bridge if ur going north on 58 befor u get to the new bridge there is a ramp i think on the east side(right side of the road)
i was going to put in there were is wolftever or what ever its called at im going to wal mart to get a map to learn about the creeks and get familyer with them

I think your asking about the Hiwasse Bridge, as most folks call it. The Wolftever bridge is in Harrison, about 18 miles south of the Hiwasse River, it is also on HWY 58.

I fished there today and we cleaned 10, 12 inch crappie. Now I did not catch no where near as many as whistler, he's the crappie king here lately emoWorthy If you PM me I'll tell you where I caught my fish and maybe you will have the same luck as I did.
