I am confused to end this year, what has happened?

I was thinking today and those of you who know me know that can be dangerous...

I used to think I was just an ordinary person, but I was born white, which now, whether I like it or not, makes me a racist.

I am a fiscal and moral conservative, which by today's standards, makes me a fascist.

I am heterosexual, which now makes me a homophobe.

I am mostly non-union, which makes me a traitor to the working class and an ally of big business.

I was Christened by my parents (who were married in a church), which now labels me as an infidel.

I am getting on up in age and retired, which makes me now useless.

I use to look forward to being able to draw my social security after paying it in all these years but now they tell me it is an entitlement and really belongs to the government. If they keep raising the age limit we will all be dead before we can draw it.

I think and I reason, therefore I doubt much that the main stream media tells me, which makes me a reactionary.

I am proud of my heritage which makes me a xenophobe.

I value my safety and that of my family and I appreciate the police and the legal system, which makes me a right-wing extremist.

I believe in hard work, fair play, and fair compensation according to each individual's merits, which today makes me an anti-socialist.

I (and most of the folks I know), acquired a fair education and those with student loan debts paid it back, which makes me some kind of an odd underachiever.

I believe in the defense and protection of the country for and by all citizens and I honor those who served in the Armed Forces, which now makes me a right wing-militant.

Please help me come to terms with the new me… because I'm just not sure who the hell I am anymore! I would like to thank all my friends for sticking with me through these seemingly abrupt, new found changes in my life and my thinking! I just can't imagine or understand what's happened to me so quickly!

Funny …it’s all just taken place over the last 7 or 8 years! Maybe the next four might change me back.

As if all this nonsense wasn’t enough to deal with… I’m not sure which restroom to go into anymore..............

Don't let it bother you Jmax! There are a whole lot of Red Blooded Americans, myself included that feel pretty much like you do and that is why Trump is President. They are tired of the direction the country was going in so elected to change it............JMHO

and I thought I was the only one....my disability did get a raise this year of $2.50, my part D went up $3.90 so I guess I am better off than before!!!

I quit worrying about offending folks and I am just myself and at age 70 thats who I am. I don't go out of my way to insult anyone and I try to be considerate of others feelings but there are just some folks out there that won't be pleased period. I will not go out of my way to try and change to suit what they think or believe. Just live and let live is how I look at it..............JMHO

and I thought I was the only one....my disability did get a raise this year of $2.50, my part D went up $3.90 so I guess I am better off than before!!!

"Come on man"! did you honestly believe they were going to let you keep that $2.50 ??? I got a raise on my Social Security an got the letter on Tuesday informing me of it and on Friday evenng land lord stopped in to tell me my rent would be going up on January 1st and he got my rasise plus $25.00 more. Biggest raise in 6 years and I didn't even get to enjoy it before it was gone. Oh well, I was kind of expecting him going up since he has not gone up in 4 years so it was time. At least to raise helped with the increase............. emoDance

Don't fret. There are many, many more of us like you. We just are not as vocal as those who are against What Makes America Great. Because we are busy Keeping America Great! There will be a time of reckoning for those who would tear down our Republic.

But that $2.50 was the carpet budget for the boat this spring. Back to romin noodles for the winter I guess..... emoHungry
