I am looking to get an ipilot trolling motor, I have a 201 pro xl which is a pretty heavy boat and it has a johnson trolling motor on it right now that is plenty of power, I want a 45 inch shaft and the only one with that length shaft is the 80# terrova. Would that heavy a boat be ok with the 80# trolling motor? What size are you guys using that have I pilot now?

I have a Stratos 21 ss extreme and I'm using a 80# terrova with I-pilot . The 80# terrova does good on this boat , I always hated running the trolling motor on windy days and if the wind was blowing hard I would not go fishing now with the I-Pilot the wind is no longer a big deal when it comes to running the trolling motor
