Hey with gas prices being what it is .. and a lot of guys now fishing in smaller boats less than 50hp because of it .. what about a tx just for boats less than 16 foot or less than 50 hp engine , canoes , jon boats, rafts, gas or electric .. say we pick a area of the lake like Harrison Bay say wolftever creek out to main channel but cant leave that area, or even just wolftever creek. or any one end /area of the lake. That way guys in the smaller boats feel like they have a chance to compete .. and make entry fee say 20 per boat ?

Any interest ? we would need at least 15 boats to make it worth doing ?

When I was in Midsouth we used to fish what they call the Megabucks format. In that format you would take a map and cut it into sections, and rotate to those areas every hour or so. In one tourney we split up Chester frost park, and you never left the park to the main river. In another one, we went out of Chickamauga Dam and set it up with the following areas:

Dam Rip Rap
Coast Guard
Yacht Club
Fairview Slough
Pump Station Slough
Booker T Washington Park

You rotated every hour and it made it fairly interesting.

I dont know if I would want to make it as tight of an area as chester frost .. lil to small of an area .. just trying to let the other small boat guys feel they had a chance to compete .. and save us all some gas money

sure why not .. raft .. I used to have a 20 foot raft with 40 hp motor, with a floor and swivel seats
