Today I spoke with Liz Ogilvie who is the Director of Partnership Marketing and in an effort with ABA they would really like to get their network aired here in the Chattanooga area. below is what she told me.
WFN is the only television channel dedicated entirely to fishing programming. Coverage includes instruction, tips, tournaments, food, boating, travel, outdoor lifestyle and everything else related to fishing. If you haven’t watched WFN before, see what it’s all about at www.WorldFishingNetwork.com Comcast and EPB do not offer WFN in Chattanooga. They don’t realize that the fishing community deserves a channel dedicated to our sport. To watch fishing TV any time we want would be awesome and only WFN can give this to us.

We need to call Comcast and EPB and tell them we want to watch WFN and request they add it to their channel line-up. The more people who call, the more proof they will have that there is a demand for a 24/7 fishing channel.

They justlearned fromtheir account executive who’s been working with EPB in Chattanooga, that they did a poll of their customers a while back to find out what channels they wanted added. WFN was requested a few times, but not nearly enough to merit adding us on. So this is evidence of two things – 1) they do in fact listen to their customers, and 2) anglers in the area haven’t yet spoken up. I think we could definitely have success if people call!

WFN has been providing coverage/updates on the ABA BASSMASTER Weekend Series not to mention all of the other good fishing that is on 24/7 so there should be some interest in getting this broadcast here.

I'm on dish also. I got mine added and it is awesome! You guys should go on the WFN website and check out the programing and call your local cable carrier like some of these other guys are doing.

Ithink you're right about Direct, but I'm sure that they would be open to adding it also if they get enough request for it. If you guys want 24/7 fishing on your TV call your local carrier and ask them to add WFN to their line-up. Research shows that they will listen to their customers. You won't get if you don't call.

Iwatched WFN for over an hour last night.I didn't get to see everything thatI wanted to butthere were at least 4 shows in a row that were all related to tournament bass fishing. What I got to see was very informative. Keep calling your local carrier if you want this added to your channel line-up.

I have seen some fly fishing as well as a lot of other types of fishing, but Monday night was at least 2-1/2 hours of shows dedicated to bass fishing. I didn't get to see all of the shows but i did see the line up. If you enjoy watching fishing on TV it would be worth your while to call your local carrier and encourage others to do th same. WFN is cool!

Everyone needs to keep calling if you want WFN. For all of you who are bass fisherman, you need to check out Monday nights line-up. It has some really good programing. Tuesday night is pretty much dedicated to fly fisherman. If you like watching pretty girls catch fish you can check out "Hookin' Up with Mariko Izumi"
