I'll confess and give a Chickamauga Secret Hole report 4/26/06

Why and I fished from 9:30 to 11:30 last night, but didn't do very well. The average size was down. We caught 26 total with I think 4 keepers. I threw the beloved corn dog lure, but these were burnt. They were black. Why threw his finesse worm rig. I believe it was very close to being an equal amount of fish on each. Why caught 3 of the 4 keepers though, so maybe he did better if you get into tournament fishing.

The water was above normal summer pool level and I was a bit surprised that we did not catch anything in the "new" water. Everything seemed to be 4 ft and a little deeper. Maybe it was the cool snap.

I don't think it is too late yet. Hey, the numbers are still pretty good. 26 in two hours. If we could have gotten started a little earlier I believe we could have been in the mid 30's. We fished "faster" than we usually do.

I thought Corndogs were very buoyant and you couldn't fish them fast?. Or were you doing the top water corndog thing??
I'd say that stick would make like a pretty good trailer and even make that dog look bigger than it actually is (attracting THE BIG GALS)?emoScratch

Trick number 1: take one bite out of the corn dog. Observe what you see. It looks an awful lot like the front of a chugger or pop-r doesn't it? Do I have to say how to fish it? It's a bonafide corn dog popper lure.

Trick number 2: slip a skirt (red or yellow works real good) up the stick to the base of the corn dog. Well, whadayaknow? A skirted corn dog that looks a lot like mustard or ketchup!!

Trick number 3: slip you a devil's horse type spinner up the stick and you can then fish with a devi's horse all beef top water type corn dog lure.

Man oh man, I have thought waaay too much about this thing, haven't I?

hhmmm. That's a thought. So are you telling me instead of taking 5 hours to get ready to go fishing and then fishing for 2, I can take 10 minutes to get ready and 6 hours and 50 minutes actually fishing?

Dear God, what could I catch if I spent 7 hours at the secret hole?
