GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!! my phone went for a swim anyone have any tips for drying it out..had all my contacts backed up online and now they are not showing up.. man this stinks if anyone has any useful advice please help..

Dry it out by taking the back off and removing the battery , then lay it out in the sun and wind for an entire day. Now the next day put it back together and carry it for one to two days in your front pocket of your blue jeans. When you complete these steps and not until you do then turn it back on or power it up. It will work just fine because you removed most of the mosture out while in the sun and wind and then the really stuborn stuff was absorbed out by your body temp while carrying it arround for two days turned off. Oh how do I know? well let's just say been there done that but don't wear the t-shirt (3) times.

take the battery out and keep the two separate and off for most if not all the day. then put the battery back in. make sure both are absolutely dry before u even think about trying to turn it back on. it should be ok... worked for me anyways. good luck

You might also try taking the battery out and use a blow dryers on it on the warm setting, don't burn it, this might speed things up.

Did you have insurance on it? I have insurance on mine, I think it is $5.00 a month thru Verizion and if I need a new one like you do it will cost me $50.00, this is better than paying a ton for a new one off the shelf. Just a thought.</p>

I ran over my phone one of those Gzone indestructable phones, well not under a diesel f-250. Had the insurance Doc is talking about, got online at 3pm on wed. Put $50 on my credit card, had a better phone at my house by 10am the next morning, thur. no joke, thats 19hrs from my online order, to my house. About your wet one, you can take it completely apart and dry it with a fan in about 2 hours. Dryed on in the sun on a warm day in about 30 min. put back together and worked fine, but you have to take it completely apart. Sometimes the last cover plate you can just take a few screws out, and pry it open with a flat head screw driver, that way the air can get into the small spaces.

The same thing happened to me, I took the phone to my shop opened it up and used compressor to blow air any and everywhere i could find, including ear piece and charger plug. my phone works perfect. it went through a heavy cycle.
Hope this helps

My dumb a** didnt wanna pay for insurance LOL.. luckily i did find my old phone so i got a phone for now til i can go buy a new one.. Im going try to dry it out with an air compressor in the morning.. If any one has a nice Verizon Phone for sale let me know Im looking and it must have a keyboard

NA told me a trick with my dig camera that is working after i dropped it in the livewell full of fish, take a bag of white rice and put it in a baggie and let sit for a few days the rice will absorb the moister and my cam is starting to work again

your gonna think im crazy but this works. seperate your phone and battery and put em in a bag of rice, the rice sucks out the moisture...it worked for me

I lost mine in a tournament last year. Took me 3 dives in a 8 feet of water to find it, it was beeping like crazy. Took battery immeditly out, hit it with the blow dryer a few times a day for about 3 days. Still working as we speak!

well mine is gone bye bye wash rinse and spin just isnt meant for a phone.. got a killer deal on this new phone its brand new.. but man I can barely figure out how to make a call LOL.. its a mini computer just about.. going to take some time with it

Ditchdoc are you serious!?!?!?!? I did give you a tip, but bag of white rice?!!?!? THAT one didn't come from me.... just take it apart and set it out on the counter for a few days. Use an old one for the time being. MAKE SURE IT IS COMPLETELY DRY! Then plug it in to charge overnight... then turn that puppy on. The WORST thing you can do is try to charge or turn it on and still have water in it. That fries them. I know how? Remember.... I went swimming three times in the last year and a half. It was ALL Blazer's fault on the 3rd time....
