Here is my favorite PJ.

Take 2 whole rabbits (cleaned) and slow cook them in a crockpot with a little salt and pepper and water untill they are falling apart tender. Remove them and let cool so you can pull the meat from the bones. Be real particular because there are some small bones that you can miss. Strain the water with cheesecloth or if you don't have cheesecloth you can just discard the water and start over. Put the rabbit meat back in the crockpot with some diced carrots, potatoes onions and a package of frozen green peas. Add two teaspoons of minced garlic, two teaspoons of rubbed sage, 1/2 teaspoon of thyme and 1 tablespoon of parsley. If you are like some these herbs might be a little heavy so you can maybe use half to start with and taste it when it cooks a while. Season with salt and pepper to taste and slow cook untill the potatoes and carrots are tender. I like to make a light rue to thicken the stew a little. Serve it with cornbread. Yum yum!

Cheez you and I need to get togather sometimes and do some cook'in. We seem to think a lot alike. I was going to say the same thing with the crock pot cooker but the second half was different. Do the same with the cock pot, take the meat off the bones and set it to the side.
Get yourself some Uncle Ben's wild long grain rice. Follow the instructions on the package and cook the rice. In the mean time take a little grease and put it in a fry pan, only about a table spoon or two. Once the grease is hot take some flour, about four table spoons and spickle over the grease. Let it brown a little. If it is too dry put a little water in it. Once it browns take a can of cream of mushroom soap and dump it in, add a little salt and pepper to suit your taste. I like to add a 6 oz. can of mushroom pieces as well. If you need to thin it any add a little more water. Now take the meat and cut it into pieces and put them in the gravy mixture. Once the rice is done take the mixture and pour it over the rice.

You are so right Jim. I think you can make just about anything taste good with mushroom soup. Rice is always a good choice as well. You being from AR would make you use the rice quicker than me. I love it and use it some but forget how well it works as I was not brought up using it.
Yes bud we will have to get together for some cooking sometime.emoThumbsup

PJ these ideas should get you some points at home.
