You may wanna try looking for a video on youtube that shows how to change it. I have found some of the videos to be very helpful.

Go for it.

Impeller replacement is a routine maintenance item and is therefore simple and straightforward. On a scale of 1-10 replacing an impeller is a 1 as compared to rebuilding a powerhead at a 10+

Youtube is great but written step-by-step instructions are better. Your money is better spent on a $35.00 owner's manual.

"Clymer" has them or you may be able to find step-by-step instructions for free with a little googeling.

Your boat is the ideal maintenance platform for this operation. The motor is already elevated at a good working height.

I could put you in touch with my helper and he would probably willing to do it and he would be more than happy to show you how to correctly do them and all of my tricks on making it look easy! What year is your engine and I will give you a manual in PDF that will cover your engine if you want to attempt it on your own.
