1. I don't want to drop post count. JMax is using slanted logic to believe that dropping the post count will raise the numbers that much. We had 150 posts from at least 2010, and did not raise it until last year. What I don't want to have is the CFF Dogfight Trail. If that is what everyone else wants then run with it, but there are dogfights every day of the week. Theoretically, we should be increasing the post count requirement every year to promote posting on the forum.

2. Season - Ithink it would be good to start a few weeks earlier.

3. 11 tournaments

6 - Chickamauga

2 - Chester Frost Day

1 - Chester Frost Night

2 - HBSPDay

1 - HBSP Night

4- Nickajack

1 - Sullivans Day

1 - Shellmound Day

1 - Riverpark Day

1 - Riverpark Night

Do we go to Guntersville, or add another to Chickamauga? If we go to Guntersville, I recommend we go twice, becausepaying $45 fora license to go one time is not smart.

Thoughts on these initial items?

I say leave the post count at 200. Like you said were not running a dogfight series.

Starting a few weeks earlier is fine with me.

As far as Guntersville goes i would rather not go, but thats just my opnion. Mostly bc i dont get to fish there and dont know the lake & dont really want to buy an alabama license on top of the TN & GA license i already buy. But if everyone else wants to fish Guntersville then add it to the trail and ill either buy the license or just sit those tournaments out.

I really don't care about the post count. I say NO, to any Alabama or Georgia Lakes. Buying the out of state license is just another added expense to the angler. Everyone around this tri state area, Ga. Al. and Tn. are going to buy Tn. license anyway. So why force the anglers to purchase out of state license to states that they normally wouldn't go to? We need to try to keep tour trail close and in familiar areas and waters for everyone by using the Nick and the Chick only I think. I do think we could change things up a little and have our 1st Tx. in Feb. on the Chick instead of at the Nick. Then go to the River Park and then the Nick and back to the Chick again. By that time we are usually looking at two Tx's. per month in April, May and going into June. We also need to discuss whether or not to allow the rig again this year. Bass, FLW, CBA are not allowing it and no other trail that I know of does. I personally don't like it, not that I may throw it on a fun fishing day, but I don't like it in the Tx's. As I said before, we need to pick a date and place, sit down and hash these things out.

I agree Earl, keep it on Nick and chick. As far as the A-Rig, I have not had much problem with it because I don't think we have many people fishing it.

... but other Tx. trails don't allow the rig so why should we? We have always tried to basically keep with the rules of the other major Tx's. They obviously had some reasons to ban it?!

I think we need to at least do our night tourneys on Saturday since some work 2nd shift. As for the A-Rig, you don't need to ban a lure that is not illegal by state law, I used it once last year and it didn't help me win or get in money but it did catch me fish when nothing else was working. We're not bass affiliated or FLW so why do that. I would like to go to Guntersville, If I bought a license then I would probably take a few trips down there outside of the CFF tourney and to Weiss also. I get burned out on the same 2 lake anyways. Plus we lost a few members because of this, Carl Vicars being one of them. I think need to set rules as far a blastoffs and not change them. I sound like a bitch but we need to spread out a little instead of JUST CHATTANOOGA. I would keep it at 200 post as well, and who gives a crap if were fishing same day as CBA.

Also, Steven and I are fishing as a team next year, Do you all want to add him to the committee, he said he would ?

If weregoing to keep it on just Nickajack and Chickamauga, then maybe we out to put in at the DAM in every tourney and have the option to lock thru. emoBadLanguage

I agree that the rig is not illegal by states law but neither are various types of fishing nets and I am against them also. And no, we are not affiliated with Tx. trails such as FLW or Bass that do ban the rig but we have always tried to stay in line with their rules, restrictions and regulations. Sort of like the way a Little League Baseball team follows Major league Baseball rules. You just want to be like the "Big Boys" as much as possible and maybe compare yourself to them? As I said before, no Tx. Trail that I know of allows the rig so why should we? I think that we would loose more participants going to lakes further away and spending more money on license and gas. For the same reason I would be against Sunday Txs. I think that it would cause a much larger problem trying to move the night Txs. to Saturday night. For many it would interfere with their Church attendance. If any CFF Tx. regulars want to fish Txs. at Weiss or G'ville or whatever lake, there are a multitude of Txs. every week all over those lakes. All they have to do is go enter them! Again the CFF is a local, low entry fee Tx. Trail. Blast offs vary due to weather conditions, the amount of boats participating, congestion from other Tx.s at the same ramp and so forth. Sometimes you don't know how to do the send off or when until you get there and see the situation. If we need another committee member, I have no objection to Steven. Though the last time I talked with him he wasn't sure if or how many of the CFF Txs. in 2016 he was going to be available to fish?

Earl, what is the deal? This is a working man's club not a professional trail. Hell, if someone is going to cheat then it's own them. I think Patrick's idea of going to you spot and start fishing at a set time is a good idea. This whole idea of who gets there 1st at sign ups get boat 1 is stupid. As for guntervile, maybe we should have 3 tourneys with drops, so at least the ones who didn't want to fish would drop those 2 and still have 1 in there pocket.

Hey guys, let's do this. I am going to let that suggestion thread go through Saturday, then freeze it. We can work from that. I will find out everyone's availability and we can get together somewhere and hash it out. Or we could hold our own little CFF Committee tournament at $20 a boat then discuss it afterwards. Thoughts?

Leonard, I never said that anyone was going to cheat!? Where did you get that form? As far as who gets to the ramp first for sign up was inducted as a rule to encourage participants to get there early instead of everyone showing up at one time and some what late) in mass causing congestion, chaos and confusion at the ramp with everyone trying to unload at once. Then you have a later, delayed blast off because everyone wasn't in the water and ready for the scheduled blast off. Every Tx. that I know of has a pecking order of sorts by sign up unless they are doing a all go at once blast off which we cannot do by Silver Light's rules. Patrick I would rather all of us just get together and meet, discuss the issues and vote. Plan and simple!

Sorry Earl, wasn't trying to make you mad, you know I like you. I just think we need to change it up a little for everyone in our area. I know its the Chattanooga Fishing Forum but we live in a tri-state region and I think attendance would be better if we add Guntersville and do our night tourneys on Saturday night. You can still get home by 3 and get up and go to church. That's what I meant by a working mans club. As far as my comment about cheating, I was talking about the blast-off and Patrick's Idea of launching and start fishing at a designating time, at least for the times there is other tourneys at same ramp.

No A rig or TN rig ban, that's dumb as well. Its a just another tool to catch fish. Its like and any other lure, it takes patience and persistence to catch fish on it.
