CONCORD, N.H. -- An injured Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) volunteer, Edward Belove of Cambridge, Massachusetts, age 59, was carried to the top of Mount Washington, where he could be transported down the mountain and taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital in Conway. Belove had been hiking on the Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail. He was alone, about 200 yards from AMC Lake in the Clouds Hut, when he slipped on a rain-slickened rock and broke his leg about 10 a.m. this morning (Friday, July 24, 2009).</p>
