Hey guys....just thought I would ask, but how do you wire a bow mounted fish finder in? I have a1998 Fisher FX19 Tournament with a Mercury 200 EFI and the FF is a Lowrance X67c. There is an access panel there on the bow to the TM plug and the trim buttons, and as far as we know this boat has never had a bow mounted electronic. But as of yet, there have been futile attempts to reach up that far. Do I need to run new wires to the battery from the fish finder and if so which battery/batteries do I wire to, TM or Cranking? Also, I replaced the TM bolts not too long ago and just reaching up that far was quite a feet. Any ideas would help or better yet a picture or video emoBigsmile. That is something you would think there would be a Youtube video about but I haven't been able to find it.Thanks and Be well...

If you are gonna run the wires to a battery, need to run them to the cranking battery. Just extend the wires to the fuse panel in the boat, if there is an open fuse socket, you can buy a adaptor that wraps around the metal of the fuse and just push it in the socket. Make sure not hook the wire to the hot side of the fuse. If you do that you will have no protection for the boat or electronic. Make sure to use a digital multimeter on the panel and test the top and the bottom of the fuse slot. If the top reads 12 volts then put the wire in the bottom(attached to fuse). If it reads constant 12v on the bottom then hook it to the top of the fuse slot. Or you can run wire directly to the battery, make sure to fuse it 6-8 in from the where you hook it to the post. This is the way I would do it. Someone else may suggest something different. Good luck.
