Hey guys, I've had a new Lowrance unit since Christmas and just haven't had the extra cash to have it installed, so yesterday I began doing it myself. I have the unit hooked up on the console and everything is working fine. But my question is concerning the wiring to route the GPS puck to the unit? I am completely lost and these directions are shotty at best. Any info to help me out and get this thing installed on my own without forking out a couple hundred $$ ?? Do I have to hook up a separate power supply to run to the puck? Or can it not just feed of the power supply that is running the unit itself? I'm not a mechanic, and definitely not an electrician....so any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Well that's what I have done now, but it doesn't seem to want to acquire a satellite signal emoScratch I'll get it figured out....

You have to hook the gps puck to a power source. We normally use the same power source as you have used to power up the unit itself. We charge $100.00 to install a lowrance Gps system. If you have any more questions call me at Chattanooga Fishnfun. My name is Tom 423-892-6272 Hope this helps when i say power source on your power cable there is a black, and red wire those 2 wires power the puck these are the smaller of the red and black wires. Take the 2 red's from the main power and puck power and the same with the black wires and hook them up to the same power source.
