Installing new cable and bowstring

I have an ancient Bear Whitetail Hunter that I bought used many years ago. I have the new parts but am not real sure how to begin. I have access to a pro type bow press at our club. My concern is getting the lengths and the timing correct. I feel that using the old parts would give me the lengths, unless there is any stretching. Any and all help is appreciated.
Like to get it done as I have been bit by the hunting bug!

As you know..Timing is everything!

Does anyone in your club do thier own sucessfully? If so, Id hit them up. If not...I'd go to Turks or Choo Choo Archery and make sure you get it set up right.

Turk and Choo Choo do good work I am told, but the cost would be more than I paid for the bow. I'll check at the club. Thanks.

You can get very detailed answers on how to do this yourself at www.archerytalk.com. Those guys are a wealth of knowledge and someone will have the specs on your bow. If you do want to spend a little coin I would go to Turks. They do great work.
