Interstate I-24 to be CLOSED this weekend Germantown Road Area

For those going to the lakes this weekend. Heads up! I-24 BOTH sides, east and west bound lanes are supposed to be closed around Germantown Rd. from 9 pm tonight, Friday April 30th until Monday morning at 6 am. There will be detours and rerouting of traffic. Avoid this if you can.

Also, the I-75 / I-24 interchange is going to be reworked this weekend. No entrance ramps will be open from East Ridge to I-75 north. The two left lanes of I-75 are going to be closed down. It sounds like it is going to be a mess. The rest area will not be accessible. Lots of detours are supposed to be posted.

They are putting in the new entrance to I-24 west bound. After this weekend it will be from the right side of I-75 instead of the left. Lots of sudden lane changes coming up in the next few weeks........
