Is braided fishing line bad for your reel and rod eyes

i am usin spider wire not braided but its the braided feel and look but i was wondering if it would make groves in me rod eyes emoConfused

Braid does no damage unless you have rod that is over 20 years old, then the eyes maybe damage if they were really cheap.

I have used ever kind of Spiderwire that has came out and have never had anything happen to my guides.

I've used braid for years and love it. My guides are as good as the day I bought the rods. I think with some of the older or cheaper guides you might have an issue. Heck back in the 70's I had issues using just plain ole stren mono with some guides. You are safe if you have a good quality rod I would think.
