I usually don't go till Nov., I plan to make a trip down Arkansas way the weekend of Nov. 10th and I will bring some dead deer pictures back with me. I got a new place to hunt here on the TN side but have not took the time to go look it over yet. I hate going when it is warm, I hate the ticks, chiggers and bugs. emoAngry Once the cold weather really starts we will see.

I too would like to hear some others and see some pictures and stories, those really get me going better. emoThumbsup Jmax

I cant wait till nov. I will be after some bone in KY! Damn work and fishing txs have kept me away.

I have pending, 2 sq miles of the most awesome hunting property to be awarded to just me and only me on Oct 10. Bucks Galore with bedding around my tripod as far as you can see. I swear this is A TRUE STORY...

Ive only got to go three times and saw spike and a doe, the doe almost got it but went thru openig to fast but theres always next week, gotta fish sat or id be there then, im ready for some fresh backstrap!!!!

Here is the "blood & guts" picture you (Spur) asked for on Facebook... where the little spike fell on Enterprise South hunt. Although even here, I artfully blocked the bloodiest part. I'm becoming quite sensitive to the non-hunting public in my old age... as all hunters should to protect the well-being of our favored pastime. We shouldn't hide what we do, nor should we flaunt the less attractive aspects.

I'm done preaching now. emoGeezer

It was a great hunt... saw quite a few Monday. Got busted by a beautiful 8 pt. emoBang And missed two different does. emoHoppingmad The crossbow shoots dead-on, sadly I haven't shot it much from a treestand, and did not make proper adjustments (or practice) shooting from on high.

This was the only deer I saw Tuesday... 1:30 pm. I adjusted well. Crossbow bolt to the shoulder broke it like it was shot with a 30.06 and then pierced the heart. He was dead in ten seconds, or less.

Been a bunch so far this season, I've been able to shoot 2 does, and a basket 6 point, I have passed on shots at more does 2 of the last 3 times I have been in the woods. Hoping my son will get a good shot soon, this is his first year to hunt with a compound bow.

Went to Indiana last week for their bow opener, I never got a shot, but my buddy killed a great 8 that was HUGE. Biggest deer (body) I have ever seen. it weighed 304 lbs on the hoof, 226 dressed. A really fine deer, he shot it from ground blind w cross bow at 14 yds.

Good grief! What a beast!

I can't imagine a deer that big... especially can't imagine dragging it out of the woods! emoEek

Got any pictures of that one reliable? That is a beast. I do not think I have ever seen a 300+ lb deer in real life. emoEek Jmax

A buddy of mine hunts IL HARD every year and takes a giant buck and a few does each season. He brings me the deer, he doesnt usually want the meat, I have skinned and caped some well over 300lbs dressed...no lie. Its a good thing i use an engine hoist or id never get them hung!!!!</p>

Got a coyote on the morning of september 30th and a Doe that afternoon. Missed a real nice eight the next morning.Maybe I can redeem myself this weekend with my smokepole.

I have been a couple times. Bow hunted Yuchi and did a 13 hour sit without seeing a deer. Next day I killed a doe at about 830 am. I would post a pic but I am not technologically savvy enough to figure it out.

We got drawn on the hiwassee muzzleloader hunt this weekend. There were 3 of us that went up on Friday and we killed 6 big does by 6 that evening. Seen tons of deer and had chances to kill some small bucks but passed on them.

Well I dont hunt much around here. Went to my farm in KY for the youth gun hunt two weeks ago and had one of the kids kill a 130-135 inch 9 pointer that weighed 165 lb dressed with a 18.5 inspread and 7 in bases. My youngest nephew had a great 8 pointer come in but could not find it in the scope on the first evening, this deer would score 140 in or so. My oldest nephew missed a big doe at 135 yards. Me and a buddy stayed a couple day after the hunt and saw deer every day. I missed a doe at 45 yards with my bow right at dark one evening and my buddy clipped a big 8 at what he had ranged 24 yards but did not hold low enough the deer droped out from under the arrow. We will be heading back to KY on Nov. 9th to hunt the first week of rifle season. Hope to post pics of the young mans 9 pointer and any deer we kill in a couple of weeks got my eye on a 175-180 in 10 pointer that hangs on the farm. We have several big deer that run around the area so you never know there maybe a bigger deer that we have not got pics of on trail cams. More later to come for all you deer hunters to enjoy.

I've been in the woods plenty my luck and the wind are killing me. I have walked and walked and walked. The little sign that I found I hunted and 30 min before sunset or so The wind changed on my and blew towards where I figured they were coming from. I'll keep trying I will get my goal of two deer this year.
