IS THIS FOR REAL

I would be glad to email it to anyone. Its a spectacular plane video. The wing falls off the plane and the guy still lands it. To hard to describe how he lands it. You have to see it to believe it. I still don't see how anyone could pull this off.

i actually watched it the other day. totally fake. but looks pretty realistic, until the actual landing. but the guy running towards the plane afterwards looks real

XLD, I flew radio control planes for 15 years (this is actually how I got my screen name here). This is a model landing and I believe it is real. It is a pretty phenomenal landing by a very skilled pilot and a planned stunt. These models have hugely oversized airfoils and control surfaces that actually allow for vertical hovers, etc. in a flying style known as 3D. These models allow for far more aerobatics and control than full scale pilots are capable or willing to try (vertical hovering 3' off the ground and touching the tail to the grass is a bit easier when standing outside the plane rather than sitting in it!!!) You can tell it is a model by the relation of the wheels and fuselage to the grass at the end of the video and you can see the holes in the fuselage where the wing is mising. These planes are huge some with as much as 12' set 144" wing spans and have detachable wings that are joined through these holes. Also the engine sounds like a gas model enginve. This is certainly intended to make us believe it is a full scale plane but it is not. I am not sure if the pilot inside moving around is doctored or simply a movement model pilot. These models can have very realistic pilot movement as well.

I don't know if the plane is a model or not but the video is cobbled together. In the interview the Pilot says the target plane was an A-4 but it was a F-100 Super Sabre. Oh well, it's still a good story.
