Anyone else having issues with windows 7 updates? I had Office 2010 on my laptop, and since a recent windows update, excel is gone and I cannot re-install it off of the disc.?????????

Never use auto update for any software you have.

Always have them check with you so you can look them over first

Do a system restore and choose a date prior to last install of windows updates. Should put everything back the way it was.
To launch system restore - click all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore.

Tried that. Didn't work. Guess it's time for an upgrade laptop

Infiniti Plus Computers on Hixson Pike can fix it. They have fixed several problems for me.

You should have a system recovery disk that came with your laptop when you bought it. If not, you can usually order one from the manufacturer (not much $$). Then you can restore everything to the way it was when you bought it.

UnInstall all of Microsoft 2010 and reboot. Then try installing a fresh copy. Had that happen to me once.

Thanks for the input guys! My problem is that Office 2010 is gonzo. It has happened before and I was able to re-install it. Now, since the update, I get an error message that says something about the feature I want to use is on a different network to which I don't have access. WTF??????? Anyhow, I'm just gonna save some schekels and get a newer model with more disc space and ram.
