Italian man catches massive wels catfish in italy.

So a man named Dino Ferrari, an expert at catching big wels catfish, landed an enormous 280-pounder on thursday in the Po River, the longest river in Italy.
The wels catfish was put in a sling and weighed out at 280 pounds.

The fish was caught on a artificial bait on the surface and the fight lasted 40 minutes on a boat.

After the fish was weighed, it was released to live another day.

Talk about a huge fish. That fish could probably eat my dogs if it was hungry enough(one 40lb dog, one 55lb dog).

That must have been some fight as well to bring it in.

Im sure it has a nasty bite as well(considering how strong 1lb catfish jaws are that I catch in my creek)

Its good that he released it, hopefully it will survive and grow even more.

It is a great work DINO. Congratulation! 280 lbs of this catfish is huge I think. In south America, there are lot of diverse catfish but weight in between 400lbs to 500lbs maximum. Danube catfish called sheatfish, reach a length of 13 ft and a weight of 400 lb, and the Mekong giant catfish can reach 10 ft and 550 lb (250 kg). You can learn more information from below link,
