Thanks to some recommendations through cff I put my kayak in a new spot at sale creek yesterday. I fished shallow at first and quickly shifted gears. I found a deep rocky hole and threw a Carolina rig plasma tail and caught about a 3 pounder first cast. Caught a couple more a bit smaller and moved to a bank about 8ft deep. Switched to a crank bait and caught two more around 11:30.

Since I had the day off and the morning went well, I decided to go back later in the evening. This time I put in at wolftever. This was a new spot for me too and a huge change of scenery from the morning trip. I ended up getting a small one on crank bait off a point. Wrapped around the corner and fished a cove, this time with a rage craw. I had one jump and spit the hook out, but a couple casts later I landed a bigger one off the same spot. It started getting dark so it was time to leave. But... I noticed a log sticking up in the middle of the lake and decided I had time to throw around it with the craw. Got one more decent fish and called it a night.

Can’t beat fishing twice in one day.

How well did you navigate Wolftever? I've been hesitant to launch there because of all the boat traffic. I would especially be afraid to cross over to the opposite bank for fear of getting run over. No wake zone or not. I've seen pleasure boats on full plane thru there.

Wolftever was very busy, I stayed close to the banks and didn’t paddle a long way from the ramp.
