Got my kayak on the water at 7 this morning. I pulled out my black snag proof frog because I’ve been having good results with it lately, and It’s become all I ever want to throw. Unfortunately I didn’t get any action on it at all for over an hour. I mixed it up slightly with a 10” worm but only had one bite and he stole my tail. I picked up a spinnerbait which is something I haven’t thrown a lot this year. but since things were so slow I figure they might be suspended. So I found some big structure and fished around them. After a few casts I got a small one to eat it. I kept fishing for another 20-30 minutes and got another decent one the same way. I kept fishing and got a couple smaller ones to bite, but didn’t land them. Either way, I’m glad I was able to change it up and get a few to bite.
