Ok, This is a recipe for java chillers, which I will include two versions, alcoholic and non.I've played around with this since getting one of these guys at sonic this past spring. If you ever had one of sonics java chillers, then you now what these are. I have made both versions and have had great reviews for both so I wanted to share this recipe with the people on the CFF. Hope you guys like it.

What you need:

1 gal. vanilla ice cream( I prefer breyers or ben and jerrys, but I guess it doesn't really matter)

1 cup vanilla flavoredespresso( I used the Millstone brand from wallmart)

vanilla flavored creamer

sugar

blender

For alcoholic version: you will also need:

4oz.kahlua

2oz.rum(optional)

First, fix your cup of coffee(espresso) as usual add your creamer and sugar, although you don't really need the sugar b/c your going to addthe coffeeto the ice cream. Let the coffee cool down to room temp. Put the coffee in the blender, add 3/4 the gal. ice cream. If you want to make the alcoholic version add the liquor also. Turn blender on at lowest speed and run until the ice cream is pureed and no longer has clumps in it. Serve. Enjoi. You can also add toppings such as whipped cream, caramel, etc. This will make about 4-5 8 oz servings. I must remind you that if you try and mix the hot coffee with the ice cream it will melt and you will end up using more ice cream, you want the chiller to have the consistency of a milkshake.
