95 Wet jet with a 701 Yamaha engine will start and run on the trailer, but will not start in the water, it floods really bad, got it to start and run in the water once but could smell fuel really bad and took it sometime to clear out, ran great under full throttle. Once you let off the throttle it floods and dies and will not restart in the water, put it on trailer and pull it just out of the water and it will refire and run great with no flooding, any ideas as to what is going on?....Thanks!

No good, shoot with shotgun and sink to bottom of lake. There dragfish, i said it for ya!

... fellow's that's just no way to be! Not even nice! Go meet him at the ramp and strap some brush to it first before you sink it and then mark weigh point! What were you thinking?

Ohh that's great, i started to read this thinking oh man i'm gonna catch hell for my comment, but nope, you are worse than me.

But really I know nothing about jet ski's other than they annoy the crap out of me when trying to fish. Hope you get it figured out though!

Evidently you didn't read the Chattanoogan, the article about removing lead from the water. If you shoot it make sure that you go purchase some steel shot. Better yet, just run it by a recycle bin. Maybe those folks can make something useful out of it.

You guys are mean as hell! The guy just wants alittle help here. emoGrouphug

BBass - 8/9/2010 4:06 PM I was sitting here thinking you might have unwanted water getting to the engine. So I googled your problem. http://www.pwctoday.com/f16/jet-ski-wont-start-water-but-can-run-forever-dry-dock-land-294907.html Good luck. Hey guys! What time are we doing this. I want to mark it and move it later. :)

I'll bring the grapple hook and chain. We use YOUR boat though !! emoBigsmile emoBigsmile

Ok....Just got it back. Need to flush out that gas anyways. emoCool

WELL. I have 2 bass boats and keep them running tip top thru help I have received on this forum. I am always grateful for the help and that's all I was wanting this time. I actually traded a very badly banged up bass boat for a jet ski this weekend. You know, something to keep my wife and daughter happy while I was fishing. I was only trying to get it running for them. Thanks for nothing

We are only pickin on ya. emoPoke

Yeah I read that thread. No one was able to help him either. I'm starting to wonder if my smoking/knocking old rotten hull bass boat was all that bad after all?!

I bet its getting water back in it where it shouldn't. Call WhiteCycle Marine. Gerald White is the owner. He can probably put you on his mechanic. Tell him Billy at Tennessee Trailers referred you.

Ah-we're just a bunch of kids at heart! Looking at your post count, It's obvious you're new to this crowd.
We have all had our buns fried at one time or another (me more than some others) Just the fact you got a reply means you got our attention, so please take it in stride.
Plus, hardly any of us know anything about jet skis anyway-shoot, boats for that fact! emoToast

Ha! Gotcha! LOL.. I have read a lot of post on here doing research.. I know you guys like to cut up and so do I! Seriously I knew it was a long shot but I haven't been able to get help from the weiners off of any PWC boards.. I have always gotten great info on my bass boats so I thought, what the hell, it's worth a shot. I knew I'd get hammered for even admitting I had a jet ski, but it is for the family. So the longer I can keep them happy, the longer I can fish! Thanks guys! It's the first time I've smiled today!

I would love to have one or two of them myself, they make great quick-trip fishing vehicles....
BUT, they are a maintenance nightmare. WLG has two nice ones, this past week he told me "If I wasn't a mechanic, and had to pay to have them worked on, I couldn't afford the dang things". They break down more than Tyler Wares' boat! emoPoke emoPoke
Good luck, maybe somebody will know, it was worth a shot posting here.
