Fishinvol & I met up at 7:30am and got on the water by 8am (16 degrees). After the steering thawed out we headed down lake away from the cold (39) murky water on the upper end. Not before Chris brought a nice keeper to the boat though. Better conditions were found down lake with nice clear warmer (42) water and much less wind. Out of the wind and in the sun we warmed up and so did the fishing. Chris caught some nice keepers on points, then a fat yellow perch. I finally got a nice keeper to the boat, and then we hit an hour stretch where Chris caught 4 really nice 18-20" spots, and I added a nice 17" spot, and several more nice fish from Chris. For the cold conditions we were never very long without a bite. Chris missed a good fish during our hot spell that pulled the float down fast and ripped it toward the boat and pulled off. I wish we could have seen what size it was. Next time maybe. We had ice in our guides all day, but the lack of wind for most of the day made for pretty easy fishing. Ended with 18 nice spots and our five biggest would go 14 lbs. All fish caught on FnF worked slowly, very slowly on 45 degree banks. Very nice trip for sure. I am nearly an expert net man after fishing with Chris and Kevin on Parksville. Those are some beautiful fish. The pictures just don't do em justice. Thanks, Chris I enjoyed it for sure.

No way that was a 2lber, probably pretty close. But I do think the state record is over lbs out of Parksville last year. It holds some big perch for sure. That's good for those spots to eat . Bass love perch.</p>

Sweet walleye, (that's what I call perch, unbelievable tasting)

Those spots are awesome fat, so the question is..........Carter's or Parksville?

For the FnF bite right now, Parksville. But when the fly bite is on at Carters, I will choose Carters everytime. Way easier to catch a trophy up ar Carters.
