Well...all I can say is 99% of the time in a three fish tournament 13.18 lbs would win it but..........
Ramjack and Andrew...13.75.... emoWorthy emoWorthy Took it and knocked us out of first. emoApplause
Me and Wiskers had a great day. We boated bass at every stop except one. During the deluge of the storm we went to Harrison Bay and got in a slip along with several others. We were told Ramjack had a 7 lb + and we knew we were in for a fight. I thought when Wiskers caught our big one of the day at 5.71 lbs and I had already put one in the well at 4.29 lbs that we would take them. emoEvil However we did not and came up short.
Still one heck of a day to remember. Our best three as I said was 13.18 and our best five were 19.26 lbs. They were 5.71, 4.29, 3.17, 3.05 and 3.03. emoSmile We also culled a 2.97 and a 2.95. emoThumbsup We started hitting docks in the fog with a couple keepers on a spook and shakey. Not much happening so we went to the river fishing grass edges. That is where I caught the one at 4.29, it was on a shakey. emoTongue After the hell Wiskers put me through the last time at the CFF about not catching many I paid him back two folds. I kept asking him if he planned to show up any time today. emoEvil He did finally catch a nice three that was the 3.03 but finally I culled that one too. He kept saying he was holding back for the big one and he did finally set the hook hard and said,..I think this one is a good one....this is a good one....net......Net......NEt!....NET!!!..it jumped, he saw it....NET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! emoLaugh It was still 20 feet from the boat. emoDoh I got the net with time to spare, I accused him of being beetlespin. emoGoofy BS yells for the net when they are still 50 yards from the boat. emoCrazy
I lost count of how many we caught but most were between 15 to 25 feet. I think Wiskers knows...I think he said 50 something. Wiskers also boated two catfish. My thumbs are raw again. Bass were caught on spooks, worms, shakeys, power minnows, dropshots and cranks. Water temp was 86 to 84 depending on where you were. Best bites for us were on edges... edges of grass, edges of the river, ledge edges...you name it, there had to be an edges or drop. Great day and really was glad to see Wiskers show up after I had done all the work. emoPoke
Great to see everyone again and congrats to all the money winners and those that weighed in a good sack. Lots of good bass today. We also got third place big fish with the 5.71 lber. emoThumbsup
emoThanks Jmax
