Did not have a report worth posting from yesterday. Only boated 14 bass off of jerks and shakeys with only two small keepers.
Today however was another story. emoThumbsup Had a really good time. Put 32 bass in the boat with nine solid keepers. Had one four and a halfer with three others over three pounds. The rest of the keepers were in the two pounds class and we had a couple solid ones around 2 3/4s pounds. Best five would have been somewhere around the 17 lb mark. emoToast No monster limit for the chick but Martin said he wanted to catch numbers and felt pretty good about 68 bass in three days. He was happy and that was the main thing for me.
Today we had a very hard time getting them to chase anything, only had a couple on cranks and the rest were on shakeys. Never had any on a blade, trap or jerk even thou we did throw it off and on all day. Our best spot today was HBSP where I caught a great Taco Salad and Martin boated a big plate of Spaghetti. emoHungry Nothing really all that shallow for us. Most were still around staging areas going back into spawning flats. Should not be too long now. Depths were from 5 to 12 feet mostly. Water temp was 58.2 when we started and 62.? when we left. Here are a couple more of our keepers from today.
