My buddy from Roanoke VA wanted to come down for a weekend trip to try his luck at catching some of TN's finest. This weekend I did not have a tournament that I was going to enter so he came on down this weekend. We did not catch a truck load but we managed some pretty nice bass each day. Our best ones were mostly in the four pound range with the exception of one that was 5/12. We threw everything at them but the kitchen sink. The majority of our fish came off of four baits. The shakey, a trap, a jerk and the rig. The bass seemed very scattered and there was so many freaking boats on the water in most places it was take a number then get in line. emoRolleyes Thinking about it now I believe every bass we caught were relating to some kind of edge. Either a creek edge, a drop edge, a grass edge, a ditch or rock edge. Most were either in a transition area or right outside of one. We mostly just covered a lot of water and had the trolling motor moving almost the whole time. The better bass came off of edges in the 4 to 8 foot range but we did catch a couple in 10 foot or better. Those were mainly the jerk bait fish or the shakey fish. Water temps ranged from 48 up to 54 degrees. Mostly the water was stained or a little muddy. We also took a break for lunch at Aries, he really liked being able to park your boat on the water and just walk right on up to the restaurant. Here are a bunch of pictures, Martin likes to take pictures. emoTongue Jmax
