Went out yesterday from 2 to 7 fishing a little company dog fight. Had decided to stick to a four to eight foot depth hoping to get some of the spawners that may have dropped before the water came up. The pattern worked for the most part. We had a limit after about two to three hours but we did not find any big bass which has been my jinx so far this year. Caught all our first keepers on plastics. I was using a shakey and Lucas was using a t-rig. It did not seem to matter which one. I think it was a matter of putting it in front of them and they would take it. We left that pattern to look for a bigger bite but in hind sight we should have stayed on that bite. We managed several more on plastics, spinner baits and even one on a spook but could never improve on the ones we had. emoScratch Had one right at 3 lbs and two more solid mid twos for a hair over 8 lbs. PaulJ and partner bumped us out of first by less then two ozes. emoDoh He had found the same thing we had and was also wondering where the big females were holding. emoConfused It should be all out over the next couple of weeks with the water the way it is. Looking forward to the up and coming CFF tournament this weekend. emoBigsmile Jmax
