It seemed a lot tougher this morning then yesterday. Wind still blew like crazy but once the sun broke out the bite died. I thought we would get a better bite deeper but that did not happen either. Those bass were shallow today. I don't think we had but a couple deeper then five foot. Some were really shallow. The lake has been rising so maybe that has those bass moving up. Lots of bites, few hook up, they were acting strange today. I think some were only moving the bait out of their beds and before you even knew they had it they dropped it. Made it tough with a big bow in your line due to the wind. emoBang We were able to put 13 in the boat today but I know we missed and lost that many more. Martin had the big fish of the trip on that looked to be about 7 lbs. She picked up his shakey in about two foot. When he set the hook she just hauled to the right and for a minute I was not sure who had who. Then she jumped, Martin started saying,...I need the net, I need the net! emoBigsmile Got her right up just out of my reach with the net and she jump again, about a foot from me reaching her. She just came unbuttoned. emoBawl That was a nice one and the high light of the day. All on shakeys still. Water has cooled down to 60 to 63 depending on what part of the lake you are on.
We will be doing it all over again tomorrow. C-ya out there. emoDance Jmax
