Same song second verse. After the CBA that me and Derek had this weekend I was wanting to get out again but had not had the chance to do so. I had a quote scheduled today at 3:00 o'clock and did not think I would be able to do it today either. However the guy called at 10:30 and he had to reschedule for tomorrow. Then the owner of Action called and said it was slow today at the office and I should go fishing. emoAngel People should know not to say that to me. emoBigsmile I went and did what Derek and I did this past weekend. They were still there in force in a couple places that Derek and I found them but just like this past weekend getting them to bite was another story. I boated 12, broke one off emoBawl , and lost three others. They were not hitting all that well. I could only get them to hit two baits today. One was a shakey deep and the other was a deep crank. All edge fish as usual this time of year. Edge of a drop, edge of grass, edge of a point, edge of a ditch and edge of a hump. The ones willing to bite seemed to be relating to some kind of structure. It would appear many were suspended and I could not get them to bite to save my life.
I weighed the better fish. My best three were 4/2, 3/15, 3/9 for a total of 11/10. My next best two were another 3/9 and 3/4 so my best five would have been 18/7. I had one other hit the 3 lb mark on the nose and a couple other two's. Then a couple shorts. Not a bad afternoon to say the least. There were several times the bass would just slap at the crank or just pick up the worm then let it go. emoDoh May just be the amount of pressure they have been having. It poured for about 30 to 45 minutes and six boats including me headed for the Wolftever bridge, we all waited out the storm there. emoThumbsup
I guess I needed Mr. Big Fish (Derek81) to get me a good kicker. Here lately he has been very consistent about doing that. I tried a swim today but unlike Derek I never had even a smell on it. emoRolleyes Good day one the water.

Here are a couple I took picture of.
