Not a whole lot to really report. It was slow but steady. That kind of describes my last month when I fished. Today was no different. Fished the three hour dog fight and boated nine bass and one crappie. Derek is still having issues casting into snags and broke what appeared to be another good fish off today. emoDoh Got her hung in a brush top and she was pulling pretty good, had his rod bowed over well and the whole brush top with the bass started coming up. About half way up the bass broke his line and off she went. May have got us second but would not have had enough for first even with that one. Steve Rogers and Bob Anthony brought in three nice ones with over 15 lbs and took it easily. emoThumbsup
I had one hit a shakey early that was 4/1, then about an hour later had another hit a crank that was 4/2, then flipping a boat dock had one load up on a shakey that ended up being our third best at 2/15. Our best three took third place with 11.11 lbs. Got our money back and paid for gas. Pretty much got to fish for free today. emoTongue The other six bass and the crappie all came off worms, either Texas rigged or shakey. Had a couple others that were in the two pound range but did not weigh them knowing it would not help. Best five today would have been around 16 lbs. Six keepers and three slicks.
The party boats, yachts and jet skiers were really starting to come out in force as we heading in so I was glad to have this one end at 11:00. Thanks for putting it on guys. As always you two did a great job. emoToast Jmax
