Started off slow, had a really hard time finding even a bite. About an hour and a half into it I finally put us on the board with a nice one almost 4 lbs. Thought, here we go. Shortly after that felt another tap on the worm and a 2 lber came into the boat. Two down, three to go. Hate to say it but for the rest of our day only three more came into the boat and they were all short. :( Poor, poor, poor.

I guess me and James needed Derek or Wiskers to show us how to do it. We stunk it up. James had told me he was not fishing tomorrow due to his lack of Church was getting the better of him. He had missed like the last three Sundays and said he was out for Sunday. Today was my 28th Anniversary with my wonderful better half and after only two fish I told James I was out also. We pitched our two fish and headed in. Just about to HBSP the motor changed sounds and when I came off plain it died. emoBang I can't win for loosing on my motor. emoHoppingmad I thought the power head was giving me issues again but after checking all the plugs they looked fine. Since my motor died I was sure glad I did not have a great sack. Would have been hard to swallow not being able to go tomorrow if I had of.

Congrats to Derek and Tyler on the lead today. emoWorthy 16 and a half pounds is not too shabby. Now he needs to win it tomorrow. emoBigsmile Jmax

Jim, go buy yourself a rabbits foot, a buck eye and a lucky horse shoe!

I have a duck boat with a 25 hp I could have gone with but my heart is not in this one. It is set up for bass fishing also but I don't care for Riverpark anyway so it was not a hard call to not go. With flow way down this morning they may really do well today. I wish them all a great safe day and lots of fish with a heavy sack. emoAngel Jmax

28 yrs. Congrads. Must be the best keeper you could have.

Yea, she is due some kind of award for putting up with me for 28 years. She knew going into our marriage I was addicted to hunting and fishing so she knew what she was getting. She is a good one, best one I have ever caught. Lets me do my thing with my sports and she fills in the blanks. emoHeart Jmax

I know how you feel!!! 5 weeks ago me and my wife decided to take a trip to Cherokee for the weekend for a little gambling! My sons wanted to fish in the every Saturday 8-2 tourn. Put on out of HBSP. I get a call about 7:45 pm saying something was wrong with my motor. Have it checked out! #1,2,4,5,& 6 piston was at 100 lbs. #3 was at zero!!!!! After much thinking, I decided to put a new power head on it! So crap while it was tore down we went ahead and replaced it all from the powerhead down to the prop! 5 weeks later and thousandssssss poor I'm back on the water!!! All I need now are gas and oil donations!!!! Anyone will to help!!!! Lol. Anywhoo what are the fish doing out there! 5 weeks and I'm sure it's changed a lot! Any info appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

Jim pretty much summed it up. Saturday was a frustrating day to say the least. We had a game plan that we thought would put a limit, maybe a small limit but a limit nonetheless, in the boat quick. It just wasn't to be. We moved around some and just couldn't get anything going. I've had to travel the previous three weekends and had decided that I wouldn't fish Sunday. I just missed my Sunday School class and church so much. Not knocking everyone who did fish at all. If I hadn't missed the previous three I would have been right there with you on Sunday. But as it turned out Jim's heart wasn't in to fishing Sunday either. The final slap in the face was when his motor went down again. I hope it isn't bad as in costing a lot of $$$. Lord knows he has spent enough on that engine to have paid for a Merc. Congrats to everyone who caught a limit emoWorthy what am I saying, no congrats to everyone who had more than two fish emoWorthy emoBigsmile . I had fun fishing the CFF this year and look forward to next year. Thanks to Jmax for putting up with me- I didn't help us much this year but I did swing a mean net emoThumbsup .
