I have been really busy and did not get to fish any this weekend. It has been a week since I even wet a hook so I was starting to have withdrawals. emoBigsmile I needed a fix bad. Got out this morning around 7ish and was surprised to see how few people had gone. emoThumbsup Not many boats being launched this morning. Hit a couple shallow spots and blanked. Moved deeper and started getting a few to play. Even got a couple of nice ones to hit a big deep crank. emoTongue Boated 16 bass, had some nice ones but nothing that would be a kicker in my book. My best five weighed 4/1, 3/15, 3/14, 3/11 and 3/6 for a total of 18 pounds and 15 ounces. Nothing that would take a CBA but fun none the less. Most shallow keeper came from about 10 foot and the deepest came from about 22 feet. Better fish today had moved out deeper. Did catch a few less then ten feet but those were the smaller ones. Looks like summer is here and the bass are moving out some.

The only two baits I had success on was the big deep crank and the shakey. Water temp hit 82 today so it is heating up. Left at 1:00 this afternoon, it was just too hot and humid for me. emoSun May be time to start night fishing. emoDance

C-ya out there. emoAngler Jmax

Here are a couple of my better bass today. Not sure which ones are which. emoScratch

Sweet. Nice morning for sure. Good bag.

I have not been able to get my deep cranking bite going yet. Only caught a few that way so far. The last couple years I have had a lot of fun with that technique but not so much yet.

I can buy a deep crank bite. I have threw several versions the last few weeks with no takers.

Thanks for the report.

Greg

I have tried the 10XD, Zboss which is the easiest to crank, a Berkley Dredger and a SPRO deep crank... Al failed in my hands :)

I agree on the Zboss - pulls through the water nice.

The Zboss 20 is one of my favorites, they almost always run true out of the pack and they have good stock hooks.
