Been really busy with work and folks wanting to know about/have installed alarm systems so I have not been fishing much. Got the boat and snuck out a couple hours yesterday afternoon. Needed some crappie for the freezer so that is what I did. From the sounds of it like most it was slow for me too. I managed about 20 crappie and one nice flat head. Only had eight keepers but four were around 13 inches each. emoThumbsup I know I had something other then a crappie when I had a hard hit and the line did not move. I did not have a net since I have my boat empty to trade in when my new one comes in so I just had to play it down until I could get hold of it. Followed it around with the trolling motor for a few minutes until it came up. I would guess it was about eight pounds but on four lb test you had better be careful or it will break your line. Nice pretty flat head in camo pattern.

I was using crappie assassins in ghost dipped in chartreuse dye on the tail with four pound high viz line. The bites came on a five to ten count. I saw the master drumking with his side kick count the lake but did not realize who they were until they had been there a little while. I still cannot get use to his new boat. Got to also see Rogie Brown out with what appeared to be a client. They were wearing out TN rigs, never saw they hook anything while I was looking. emoRolleyes It was a nice little outing and gave me a little stress relief. Brought back six of the crappie and made me two nice messes with them for the fry pan later. emoHungry

I thought that I saw you yesterday too, but wasn't sure. I saw Rogne too. Both had Tennessee rigs on and I figured they were either bass fishing or waiting for Stripers to run through there. Gulls were not working yesterday. Must have been their day off. emoBigsmile
