I have not been fishing hardly since my humbling experience of the CBA Classic. emoRedface That tournament really took the wind out of my sails and we just down right stunk. Been chasing deer in the woods mostly this past month. Passed on a couple but decided to go ahead and put a couple bucks down for freezer meat before I lost my desire to go. Never even saw a big boy this year. emoRolleyes The two I took will be some good eating.

Today there was not much happening with work so I decided to take me a little trip this afternoon. After all these great crappie reports some fresh crappie for supper really sounded good. emoHungry It took me a little while to locate a few. After a couple slow spots I found one place where several wanted to play. Then moved around to different docks and bluffs picking one up here and there as I went. Ended up being a really nice little outing. I boated about 20 good crappie, two large mouth, one spot, three yellow bass, seven bream and one catfish. emoBigsmile Pretty good pot luck of fish.

Most came on blue/chartreuse tubes on a 1/16th head using four lb high viz test. Most came from a 14 to about a 18 count with the majority holding close to the bottom. It got windy and cold this afternoon but coming home with a limit of crappie made the trip worth it. This is the time of year you can really have some fun fishing for those slabs. emoThumbsup Jmax

I almost went, but backed out. I regretted it about noon as usual. Good catch!

You may of been hunting in my spot! I haven't seen a big buck all season but did get a doe and two cull bucks. It's a nice break to get on the water!! Nice catch!

Nice job... I have managed a few for the freezer. Need a few more to feed the fam... Maybe this weekend..

Thanks for the report

That red surrounding them in the live well makes those specks look like christmas catches! Great Report Jmax....I knew that was a high cotten crappie boat! emoBigsmile

emoThumbsup How did those bass eat, Jmax? emoBigsmile emoGeezer

The one spot ate very well. emoAngel The large mouth I do not keep. The yellows, bream and cat all lived to be caught another day. The spot...it was his unlucky day. Figured if I was going to get stinky cleaning those crappie might as well add him to the pot. It made a couple nice filets. emoRolleyes
