Jmax, Chick, great way to start the new year., Bass, 01/01/10, Fishinjunkie(pics added)
Went this morning as planned and had a great morning trip. Me and Junkie started the new year off right. Not too cold and not too windy, but it was cold enough and windy enough with about 1 foot waves. emoAngry Even so...we had a good one this morning. Junkie got the first fish of his year on pretty much right off at the first stop. I weighed her and she was 3 lbs and 14 ozes. Not too long after that I boated my first bass of the new year and she was 3 lbs and 10 ozes. emoSmile That is a good way to start a new year. emoThumbsup
We were fishing drops and points deep and slow as suggested by everyone that responded to my request. They were not jumping into the boat however it was consistent. We would pick one up here and there almost everywhere we stopped. We ended up with a very nice limit of bass today. Junkie took several pictures and said he would post a few of them that did not give too much away. emoBigsmile Out of what we tried our top secret baits that we were successful with were blades, cranks and drop shots. Tried several other types but nothing would hit except on those three types.
No flat tires and no engines issues. emoBigsmile Water temp was 44 to 46 depending on where we were. In all a very good morning trip. Junkie was a very good partner today and was ahead of me for almost the whole morning but I did finally catch back up and pass him by one fish. emoPoke "Hey Junkie, it's your turn." emoGoofy Jmax
