Told myself if it was raining this morning when I got up I was not going. Got up and you could see stars out. Headed for the tournament. There was a good amount of folks who showed up for this one. emoThumbsup They really caught some good bass today! You noticed I said, "They" and not "Us". emoRolleyes I was somewhat surprised to see the size of bass weighed in. Usually the size seems to start to reduce in May but you sure could not tell in this one. I was culling today myself but for me is was an ounce here and an ounce there. I can't tell you about the big one that got away, I never had a big one today that I know of. I am sure AJ will be posting the result soon but if I remember correctly big bass of the tournament was 8.81 lbs. emoEek The tournament was won by three fish weighing 16 something, then second and third was 15 something and forth and fifth was 14 something. 
Like I said, there were some good fish caught today. For all my efforts I could only cull up to 9.61 lbs with my best three. emoRedface Humbling to say the least. I was at least in the race. One good big kicker and I could have been right there. emoBigsmile
My best today was just 4 and a quarter. Then had a three and a solid two to go with it. Culled a couple other solid twos also. Don't know what I was doing wrong not to get a big girl or two. Fish I did catch came on shakeys and cranks mostly in about 5 to 10 foot. Rained on us several times, that may have been what kept the fish active. Water temp was 74 and 76 something when I looked. Water is still a little high and seemed to be still rising. Well it was nice to be out there this morning. Sure beat sitting at the house watching it rain. emoToast Jmax
