Had company this morning that spent the night, so did not get an early start. Got on the water a little after 9 and fished until 2. The water here is warming up and the bass seem to be responding well. emoThumbsup The water had been in the upper forties but today it was in the mid 50s. emoTongue I caught bass from 2 foot to about 10 feet. Most were around five foot. I started with a spinner bait early but that bite died about 2 hours into the trip. Went to the old faithful shakey and missed as many as I caught. emoDoh They seemed to be just gumming the worm. I ended up putting 14 bass in the boat with about half that many more that I lost or missed. Not bad for about a 4 and a half hour fishing trip. emoDance The spinner bait bite was a slow roll. You just about had to bounce it off the bottom. A couple of the females looked like they had swallowed a baseball. It will not be long before some of those will be setting up house to spawn. emoApplause

I am ready for spring to get here and the water to hit in the 60s. Gotta love the spring bite. Nothing all that big today, had a couple in the three pound class and took one picture for the report. emoBigsmile Jmax

Went again and could just say, "Ditto!". Had another day that was just about identical. They were mostly buck bass holding on deep points right along the grass line between 5 to 10 feet. Put 17 in the boat with about that many more I either lost or missed. emoBang Still it is a lot of fun catching that many in a morning trip. Size as I have said before is missing when compared to the Chick but it was still nice to stretch the line. emoAngel Jmax
