It has been raining and storming here so much it was putting a hurt on my fishing. :( Finally cleared off and is starting to get hot. Had a couple things I had to do first off so I got a late start. Dropped the boat at 9:00 a.m. and fished until 2:00. Not a bad day at all. Here at Balboa the bass seem to school starting in May and today I found a few that would. The first two hours I chased schoolers. They were hard to see because they were mostly just boiling the water under the surface. Tried top water but they would not touch it. Went to a chrome red eye shad lipless crank and they would hit it. Lost a few and boated 12. Nothing all that big but just some nice keepers. Felt good to stretch a line. The wind came up and you could not tell where they were. I am sure they were still there but with the waves the boils were impossible to see. Water depth was 45 to 60 feet so the bass were suspended.

Moved from that area and went less deep. Fishing in 15 to 27 foot with a shakey I picked up 9 more. Those bass were holding along drops with sunken bush. At that depth I had to use the shakey more like a drop shot in the deeper water. Had some fun and I will take 21 bass in five hours any day. emoDance Jmax

Thought I would throw in one of the bass I caught just for effect. emoBigsmile
