James and I decided since we struggled so much while prefishing for this one that we went for spots and just tried to get lucky for size. Caught five keeper spots and four short large mouth. Both of us had issues breaking off fish. emoScratch Time to change some line. We did fish a lot of rock so some could have been nicking the line in the rocks. Never got on any big fish except a couple nice cat fish. Got every fish both cats and bass on shakeys. That was the only thing we could get them to hit. emoRolleyes Our best three spots were only 4.30 lbs. Not a lot to show for our efforts but we had fun and stretched the line a little with a small limit. emoThumbsup

Congrats to all those who got a check on this one. Getting a double digit three fish limit today was tough. emoWorthy Jmax

Tuff day for sure --- Except for one little area that we found it would have been a for sure tuff day emoBang . We did find an area out of the main current that had some small fish. I was glad to have caught some on my old favorite go to color that hasn't been as good the last couple of years, June bug. At least for me I got more bites and caught all of my fish on a june bug finesse worm on a shakey. I love it when the spots turn on which hopefully won't be too far away so I have something to look forward to at Riverpark emoParty . Congrats to everyone who had a good bag on a hard day. emoWorthy emoWorthy emoWorthy I don't understand how you guys do it but my hat is off to you emoWorthy emoWorthy emoWorthy . Hopefully Jmax and I can start weighing in something other than minnows soon emoThumbsup . In spite of the cold and the wind and the current and the sleet and the lack of action any day fishing is a good day. All I have to do is think about my Dad who doesn't have the health to get out in a boat anymore Those of us who have the health and means to chase fish are blessed emoAngel .
